Emerge Director
Pastor Pua-kiele Palakiko has been with New Hope Oahu since 2007. In the summer of 2008 during a youth camp, God called her into Full Time Ministry and Pua began serving as a Youth Leader in the Youth Ministry. She is now on staff as the Equipping Pastor, overseeing leaders of our Youth + Young Adults Ministries and our Children’s Ark Ministry. She oversees our Emerge Internship and has the honor to train, build and equip future church leaders. She is also a gifted speaker and worship leader.
Pua has a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries and a Master’s Degree in Formational Leadership. She is humbled and honored to have the privilege to see God's people “Discover, Develop and be Deployed in their God giving gifts.”
Student Life Director
Kainalu was born and raised on O’ahu and went to New Hope from a very young age. He began serving with his mom in our children’s ark ministry. Then when he was a Senior at Kalani High School began serving at Thrive, our High School ministry. This led him to join and graduate New Hopes Emerge internship. He also began to go to school at Pacific Rim Christian University. Now he has become our Ignite Ministry Pastor for our 4th and 5th graders.
Kainalu played all different sports his entire life competitively and recreationally. Sports like Dodgeball, Basketball, Volleyball, Spikeball, soccer but his favorite sport is Football! He has also always had a heart for the children, volunteering and working at Kahala community Park’s Summer Fun for 7 years and working with Wilson Elementary Schools after school program for a year as well. Kainalu is honored and blessed to be able to be apart of the New Hope team!
